The mission of Searcy Rush is to promote the sport of running among people of all ages and abilities, to organize events in support of this purpose and to provide opportunities and guidance for people who are new to the sport.

Registration and Start

Registration and starting line area is in front of Harding Academy.  Address: 1529 E Park Ave, Searcy, AR 72143.  Race will begin at 8:00 am.

Race History
The race started in the fall of 2013 as the final race of the Searcy Legacy Series.  2016 marked the first year this race was part of the Arkansas Grand Prix Series.  The current course record holders are: Daniel Kirwa, 33:25 (2016) and Tia Stone, 37:51 (2016).

Race Course
The race begins on East Park Avenue in front of Harding Academy and heads west about three quarters of a mile past the Harding University track, Ganus Athletic Center, and the Health Sciences Center.  Runners will then turn right onto Dr. Jimmy Carr St., pass Starbucks and then turn left onto East Pleasure, running through Legacy Park.  Runners will turn right onto S. Oak and then left onto E. Center, crossing Main St.  Runners will stay straight on E. Center for over one mile heading west.  Runners will turn right onto College St., followed by another right onto West Arch St. where they will head back another mile towards Harding.  Runners will run through historic downtown Searcy, passing the White County Courthouse before turning right onto N. Spring St. Around the 5k mark runners will turn left back onto E. Center where they will head straight for another long stretch towards the Harding University campus.  When Center St. ends, runners will turn left onto N. Grand St. and right onto E. Market where they will continue another half mile.  Runners will turn right onto Lott Tucker Dr.  They will take an immediate left onto Harding Drive and follow it back around for a half mile.  They will then turn left onto Lott Tucker Dr.  and head towards the Athletic Complex. They will then turn left on East Park Ave. and pass Harding Academy on their right.  Runners will turn right  onto the bike trail where they will continue on for another mile, passing the Harding intramural, soccer, and baseball fields. Runners will make right onto Bison Ln. passing the Harding baseball field and then left over the bridge into the Ganus Athletic Center parking lot.  From here runners will head towards the track and enter First Security Stadium where they will run 300m before finishing on the Ted Lloyd Track.
